Question
Zayd says: without doubt the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is hadir wa nazir (present and watching) and muqallib al-qulub (the turner of hearts); he beholds the mulk and the malakut (the manifest and the unseen worlds); he is aware of the states and deeds of the umma, of their movements and their rest, and of the thoughts of hearts; he sees his umma and knows their intentions, resolves and what is in their hearts; he knows the rank of everyone who follows the religion, his good and bad deeds, his sincerity and hypocrisy —…
Answer
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself used to supplicate to Allah, the Blessed and Exalted: [ar]يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ[/ar] “O Turner of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion” (hadith).
