Is Change in Predestination Possible?

Question

What is called predestination? Is change in predestination possible? (a) In the affirmative case there is a conflict with those hadiths and verses in which the unchangeability of predestination is transmitted; for example, the purport of one hadith is that some Companions ﵃ intended to have themselves castrated, whereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: whatever has been predestined will be obtained in any case.

Answer

In the divine knowledge there is, for every thing, a scheme of how it will come to manifestation; this is what is called predestination. In this scheme there is no change. However, a thing may be unconditioned (mutlaq)
