If Allah Wills to Protect, He Protects Even Among Enemies; If He Does Not Will, He Does Not
Question
Concerning asking from the awliya, you have rightly written that one should ask from God. But if a Muslim makes this entreaty to the awliya: “O Hazrat so-and-so! We are sinful servants of Allah; we do not have such access as you have; since you are a wali and a chosen servant of Allah, pray that such-and-such a task of ours be accomplished”… In Hyderabad there is a shrine of Hazrat Yusuf.
Answer
There is no doubt that upon the accepted and chosen servants of Allah the Exalted countless showers of mercy fall; on reaching near their grave one is granted incomparable tranquillity; and if supplication is made to the Pure God near their grave and through their intermediacy (wasila), it is accepted sooner.
