A vow to give five hundred rupees to a mosque

Question

Question: Zayd vowed: “If such-and-such a matter of mine is accomplished, I will give 500 rupees to the mosque.” Should he pay these 500 rupees all together, or give a hundred rupees each to five mosques? Should he give to his own mosque, or to various mosques under construction?

Answer

He has the choice to give the 500 rupees at once or to give them with delay. Specifying the mosque is not required; he may give to whichever mosque he wishes.
