Grain set aside from the produce as zakat
Question
Out of forty maunds (a unit of weight, ≈ 37 kg), one maund of grain is given, considering it zakat. Is it permissible to give the money from this grain to a madrasa and for the teacher’s wage or not? Some scholars say that this is not zakat, it is voluntary charity, and this money may be spent on every good cause.
