Charity from unlawful wealth

Question

Fornicating men and women pray and fast, or earn by dancing and music — the sarangi (an Indian bowed string instrument), the tabla (a pair of Indian hand drums), the hand drum, hand cymbals, the harmonium — and spend on good works. What is the ruling concerning such people?

Answer

Unlawful (haram) wealth is not accepted in the court of Allah. Giving unlawful wealth in charity with the intention of reward is, moreover, a grave sin and a dangerous matter.
