Giving charity to a Bhangi (sweeper)

Question

How is it for a person who prays regularly to give his old clothes to a man or a woman of the Bhangi caste (a caste of sweepers and latrine cleaners)? Bhangis often ask for old or new clothes.

Answer

To meet the need of a poor person, it is permissible for a man who prays as well to give his clothes, whether the poor person is a Bhangi man or woman, or anyone else.
