Paying land revenue does not cancel ‘ushr

Question

On the land of the province of Bengal the government also takes land revenue. Will the taking of this land revenue count as kharaj or not? If not, will ‘ushr be wajib on this land or not?

Answer

If that land is ‘ushri, ‘ushr will be wajib on it; ‘ushr will not be cancelled by paying land revenue.
