Paying zakat in the form of medicine

Question

Zayd sells medicines at his home. ‘Umar and other people who deserve zakat come for medicine. May Zayd give them medicine with the intention of paying zakat or not — that is, without taking any price at all?

Answer

He may give it, but it is good if he makes it clear to them that this is from the zakat account.
