Tamlik of zakat through a sayyid

Question

When a sayyid is poor, may the tamlik (transfer of ownership) for a madrasa be carried out through him or not?

Answer

The noble sayyids should be served with full respect and reverence by means other than zakat and the like: obligatory charities (sadaqat wajiba) are not permissible for them, and tamlik should not be carried out through them either.
