Government aid money for teachers’ salaries

Question

An Arabic madrasa receives some money from the government, but it has not been possible to find out exactly whether it is for the teachers or for the madrasa. From some people it was learned that it is for the madrasa, not for the teachers. May it be spent on the teachers’ salaries?

Answer

The money the madrasa receives from the government as aid may validly be spent on the teachers’ salaries.
