How to spend donations collected with a forged receipt
Question
A man, using a forged receipt, collected donations for a madrasa, although there is no madrasa at all. He was detained on suspicion and was asked for verification of the madrasa, as a result of which he fled that very night, leaving behind the sum of one hundred and forty rupees and the receipt. What is now the proper use of this sum?
Answer
It is valid to spend such money on some other religious madrasa. If the madrasa in whose name the donations were collected does exist, then it should be given to that very madrasa.
