Announcing Donation Appeals in the Mosque

Question

Question: Nowadays, everywhere, collectors of donations make announcements in the mosque for mosques, madrasas, societies, Eidgahs (open grounds for the Eid prayer), orphanages, boarding houses, schools, mausoleums and gravediggers; they even announce the loss of some item, and a found item is also made known in the mosque.

Answer

All these things are appropriate outside the mosque, because often in such matters things do not stay within limits, but it comes to noise and commotion. As for searching for a lost item, that is even prohibited in the mosque; likewise, the announcement of a found item should also be made outside the mosque.
