Commercial Advertisements in the Mosque Courtyard

Question

Question: What is the ruling on putting up a commercial advertisement inside the courtyard of the mosque or in any part of the mosque?

Answer

The courtyard or any part whatsoever of the mosque (where prayer is performed) should not be made into a place of trade, and commercial goods should not be kept there.
