Spending on the Mosque the Surplus of Donations Collected for the Shroud of a Deceased Person with No Heirs

Question

A man with no heirs died, and donations were collected for his shroud. After the shrouding and burial, some of the donations were left over. May this be spent on the mosque or not?

Answer

With the permission of the people who gave the donations, it may be spent on the mosque as well.
