Using the Mosque’s Items, Such as Stone, in a Madrasa

Question

May the mosque’s items — stone and the like — be used in a madrasa or not, whether free of charge or for a price? What is the ruling?

Answer

If some item — stone or the like — was bought for the mosque and then there was no longer any need for it, it is correct to use it in a madrasa or in some mosque for its price.
