Spending the Money of Unbelievers on a Mosque and Eidgah
Question
May the money and the like of unbelievers be used in a mosque or an Eidgah (the ground for the Eid prayer) or not? If they give (money) for burning oil in the mosque, should the Muslims accept it or not?
Answer
If, in their view, giving this money, oil and the like to the mosque is a meritorious deed, then it is correct; otherwise not. In the first case, if some external factor stands in the way — for example, there is fear of some fitna (discord)
