Placing Some of the Madrasa’s Materials (Beams, etc.) on the Mosque Roof

Question

Here the roof of the madrasa was right alongside the mosque, level with it. To make them level, that is, to join the roofs, the mosque’s roof was taken off. On it, that is, on the mosque, some of the madrasa’s timber has been used, as well as eight or ten sheets of tin, which have already been fitted. The mosque has no money of its own with which to pay the madrasa. The sheets and the madrasa’s funds include zakat and the like, and even donations from some non-Muslims. What should be done now?

Answer

This was done wrongly. If the people who gave that tin and the like to the madrasa willingly grant permission for it to be for the mosque, then no further change is needed now. However, no load of the madrasa’s structure — timber and the like — should ever rest on the mosque.
