Building a Chamber to Safeguard the Mosque’s Microphone

Question

(2) The microphone of a loudspeaker has been placed on the roof of the mosque, and there is fear of its being stolen. Therefore a three-square-foot enclosure has been built near the dome so that it can be safeguarded. Is such an addition on the roof permissible according to the Shariʿa or not?

Answer

(1) Making the mentioned necessities from the income of the lands belonging to the mosque, and spending that money on them according to the needs, is correct according to the Shariʿa. (2) For this purpose such an addition in such a place is correct.
