Building a Cupboard for the Loudspeaker on the Mosque Roof

Question

In the upper part of the mosque, near the dome, may a solid brick cupboard in the form of a box — three feet long and three feet wide, and about two feet high — be built, so that the loudspeaker machine can be kept there safely and used at the time of the adhan, or not?

Answer

It is better that the cupboard be built outside the mosque, in such a place that using the loudspeaker kept there does not require going up onto the roof of the mosque, because the jurists have written that climbing onto the roof of the mosque without need is makruh.
