A prostitute endowing land for a mosque

Question

The land of Najma the prostitute, which, having been transferred, came into her possession about seven years ago — Najma intends to endow this land as waqf to a mosque. Can the money from this land be put towards the mosque’s expenses or not?

Answer

If it (the land) is not from haram income and not in exchange for a haram act, then endowing it and spending its income on the mosque is permissible according to the Shari‘a.
