Giving the sacrificial meat to a sweeper woman

Question

It is my practice that every ‘Id al-Adha I sacrifice a goat on behalf of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. In this connection I wish to ask: may its meat be given to our sweeper woman? Besides this, the meat of this sacrifice is divided into three parts, and they are distributed thus: one part for oneself, the second for relatives and friends, the third for the poor and needy.

Answer

It is permissible to give the meat of both kinds of sacrifice to the sweeper woman as well, but not as compensation for service. A sacrifice made on behalf of the Prophet ﷺ may be divided into three parts.
