Sacrifice in a town before the Eid prayer
Question
The slaughterhouse is in Dhampur. This Dhampur, by virtue of its independent status as a village council, has the ruling of a village, and therefore, as the Shari‘a permits, the sacrifice here is performed after the Fajr prayer. However, large buffaloes and the like go towards Dhampur — this is where the slaughterhouse is; in Old Dhampur there is no permission from the present government, and performing the sacrifice of large animals there is a crime under the law.
Answer
If the people of a village (where the Eid prayer is not valid) bring their animal into a town (where the Eid prayer is held) and perform the sacrifice there, they are not permitted to perform the sacrifice after the Fajr prayer before the Eid prayer; rather, they should perform the sacrifice after the Eid prayer.
