On which day the sacrifice is best

Question

Should we perform the sacrifice on the tenth, eleventh and twelfth of Dhu al-Hijja? Or is there more reward on the tenth?

Answer

The tenth is best, after that the eleventh, after that the twelfth: [ar]فجر يوم النحر إلى آخر أيامه، وهي ثلاثة، أفضلها أولها ثم الثاني ثم الثالث[/ar] “The dawn of the day of slaughter until the end of its days; and they are three: the best of them is the first, then the second, then the third” (al-Shami).
