Was Hazrat Husayn's ﵁ martyrdom for the sake of the ummah, or for the sake of Allah? People say that he gave his life for the sake of the ummah.

Answer

Hazrat Husayn's ﵁ martyrdom was for the sake of saving the ummah from the oppression of a tyrant (zalim).
