Question

The battle of Karbala against Hazrat Imam Husayn ﵁ occurred at Yazid's instigation. What is the view of Ahl al-Sunna on this?

Answer

In this matter, Yazid's conduct towards Hazrat Husayn ﵁, in the view of Ahl al-Sunna wa'l-Jama‘a, was contrary to his station and amounted to disrespect.
