Was Zulaykha the Wife of Yusuf?

Question

Here some people do not accept Zulaykha as the wife of Hazrat Yusuf. Please give an answer to this.

Answer

This is not mentioned anywhere in the Holy Qur'an; nor is it clearly found anywhere in the sound hadith collections (sihah). The commentators certainly write that the marriage did take place; some respected scholars, however, deny it. [ar]والله اعلم بحقيقة الحال[/ar] “Allah knows best the true state of affairs.
