Khidr: Lineage and Accounts

Question

Is Hazrat Khidr ﵇ alive, or has he already passed away? In what age did he live, and whose descendant is he? And did he indeed enter the darkness together with Iskandar-e A‘zam (Alexander the Great) and drink of the water of life? Please give a detailed account.

As for giving a detailed account — your question itself left no room on paper for that; in brief: regarding his drinking of the water of life, there are two views; on his lineage and age there is great disagreement.
