Adam's Forty Years of Weeping After Leaving Paradise

Question

When Hazrat Adam ﵇ was sent down from Paradise to the earth, he wept for forty years because of his fault — is this report sound or false?

Answer

According to the terminology of the hadith scholars, this report cannot be called sound (sahih).
