The Creation of Eve from the Left Rib

Question

Hazrat Hawwa ﵍ was created from the left rib of Hazrat Adam ﵇ — is there an explicit text (nass) for this? By “nass” the general sense is meant, whether definitive (qat‘i) or speculative (zanni).

From Abu Hurayra ﵁: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: [ar]اسْتَوْصُوا بِالنِّسَاءِ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّهُنَّ خُلِقْنَ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ أَعْوَجَ[/ar] “Treat women well, for they were created from a crooked rib” (hadith). The word ‘dil‘’ (rib) — with kasra on the dad and fatha on the lam — is the singular of ‘adla‘’ (ribs)
