The Vision During the Mi‘raj
Question
Question: did the honourable Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ behold Allah, the Pure, in this world, or not?
Answer
When the Prophet ﷺ underwent the Mi‘raj, the scholars differ on this point: some hold that he saw Allah Most High; others say he saw with the eye of the heart; others that he saw with his physical eyes; and some say that the verse [ar]مَا كَذَبَ ٱلْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰٓ[/ar] “The heart did not lie about what it saw” (Surah al-Najm, 53:11) refers to his seeing Hazrat Jibril ﵇.
