On remarrying after one talaq, the husband retains the right to two talaqs
Question
Question: If a man gave his wife talaq and after the ‘idda married her again, will he, after this nikah, own two talaqs or not?
Answer
After marrying this same divorcee again, the right to only 2 talaqs remains. Had that woman, after the ‘idda, married some other person, and then, after his talaq or death, it came to a nikah with this first husband, then he would own three talaqs.
