Ruling on the word “tal” (طل)
Question
(1) An istifta’ (request for a fatwa) is given below; two answers have been given to it by two respondents (mujib), and they contradict each other. While adjudicating between the two answers, please also explain: what is the definition of allusive (kinaya) expressions of talaq, and are there any conditions for a word to be allusive for talaq? And then, is this word “طل” allusive or not? If it is, why? And if not, why not? (2)
