Pronouncing talaq without a reason

Question

A young man and a young woman are both adults. If, hidden from their parents, they conclude their nikah before two unknown Muslim witnesses or before witnesses who know them, is it valid or not? Then the girl's parents wish to marry her into some high-ranking family, since the girl's parents have not learned that she has concluded her nikah. If I pronounce talaq on this girl so that after the 'idda her nikah may take place elsewhere, how is it, according to the Shari‘a, to do such an act?

Answer

If he pronounces talaq, the talaq will take effect according to the Shari‘a, and after the 'idda her nikah elsewhere will also be valid. However, pronouncing talaq without a Shar‘i reason is disliked.
