The Method of Washing the Feet

Question

In wudu it is a sunna to wash every limb three times. What, then, is the method of washing the feet three times? If one is at a pool, should water be poured with the hand three times?

Answer

If he is washing the foot by taking water with his hand, he should take water three times and let it flow over the foot; and if he is washing the foot by dipping it into the pool, he should dip it three times, so that no part remains dry — the sunna has been fulfilled.
