Wiping Off the Water of Wudu with a Cloth
Question
Not drying off the water after wudu, and moreover entering the mosque in that state, with the water of wudu continuing to drip from the beard, hands and so on, to the point that during the prayer, over several rak‘as, the water of wudu keeps dripping from the limbs — what is the ruling on this?
Answer
Wiping the limbs after wudu is established by the noble hadith, and not wiping them is also established. However, one should take care that the drops do not cause annoyance to others — even though the drops are not impure — because not everyone’s temperament is the same. Whatever the drops fall on will not become impure either.
