Entering the Mosque in the State of Janaba
Question
Was it permissible for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to enter the mosque in the state of janaba or not? If it was permissible, was it a special feature of his ﷺ, or is the ruling the same for everyone?
Answer
The door of the Prophet’s ﷺ house opened into the mosque; therefore the Prophet ﷺ was permitted to pass [through it] (murur) in the state of janaba. For everyone to enter any mosque in the state of janaba was not permissible even at that time, and now too it is not permissible for anyone.
