The mosque must be purified of a dog’s vomit and faeces

Question

When Zayd entered the mosque for prayer, he saw a dog’s faeces on one side of the inner part, and on the other side he observed its vomit. What will be the method of cleaning the mosque and purifying the doubtful prayer runners? Will merely removing the vomit from its place be sufficient, or, on account of doubt and suspicion, is it necessary to wash and purify the entire mosque and all the prayer runners? And how many times would washing be correct?

Answer

The spot in the mosque or on the prayer runner where the dog’s faeces or vomit is present must be cleaned and purified; then prayer may be performed at that spot. It is not necessary to purify the entire mosque and the entire prayer runner; the doubt should be put aside.
