The ruling on ground plastered with cow dung
Question
In houses they apply a plaster and mix cow dung into it. Can one pray on such ground that is not yet dry by spreading a prayer rug or a straw mat? Is the ruling on such dung-plastered ground the same whether dry or wet, or different? Can one pray on dry dung-plastered ground without spreading anything, or not?
Answer
Praying on dry ground by spreading a cloth or a prayer rug is valid, even if it has been plastered with an impure substance. If the cow dung or horse dung is wet, and its trace does not come through to the other side of the cloth or prayer rug, the prayer will still be valid.
