Slaughtering with the left hand

Question

Question: There is a scholar (ʿalim) who cannot slaughter holding the knife in his right hand, and slaughters with his left hand. Is such a slaughtered animal permissible?

Answer

Slaughtering with the right hand is not wajib, only better; an animal slaughtered with the left hand is also lawful (halal).
