On the Fasts of a Woman with Istihada (Explanation of a Passage in the Translation of Munyat al-Musalli)
Question
I submit that in the translation of Munyat al-Musalli, Salat al-Rahman, in the last issue of the section on hayd (menstruation), they write the following passage with reference to al-Bahr al-Ra’iq: “A woman who, because of the blood of istihada (bleeding that is not hayd), has forgotten the count of the days of her hayd and the time of her hayd, etc.
Answer
I do not have the translation of Munyat al-Musalli, Salat al-Rahman; however, in al-Bahr, the commentary on al-Kanz, vol. 1, p. 210, this issue is set out in great detail. Some other opinions of the jurists are also recorded there, but since you have quoted only four opinions and asked for their reasoning, I shall confine myself to the reasoning of those four.
