Talking and Other Activities After the Asr Prayer

Question

Are the following things permissible from the Asr prayer until the Maghrib prayer: (1) recitation of the Qur’an (tilawa), (2) a Qur’an lesson (dars), (3) religious discussion and debate? And at the end, please also let us know: is any kind of worship forbidden at this time?

Answer

All of these are permissible at this time too. However, at the time of sunset, when prayer is makruh, occupying oneself with dhikr, tasbih and the like is better (afdal) than occupying oneself with recitation of the Qur’an (tilawa).
