Regularly Reciting Surah Yasin After Fajr

Question

At our place, every morning after the Fajr prayer, one person regularly recites Surah Yasin in the same spot and everyone listens. Please tell us, respected sir, whether this practice is proper or not, [and] whether it should be done without a day’s break.

Answer

The virtues of the noble Surah Yasin are reported in the blessed hadith: reciting it once earns the reward of [reciting] the Qur’an ten times; it also wards off anxieties and calamities, and so on and so forth. Therefore, if one person recites and others listen, there is nothing objectionable in that either.
