What Is Better after Fajr: a Walk in the Fresh Air, or Awrad and Regular Litanies?
Question
If, after the supplication at Fajr, some of the Fajr time still remains, is it better at that time to engage in awrad and regular litanies, praise of Allah and of the Prophet ﷺ (hamd and na‘t), salat and salam, or recitation of the Noble Qur’an — or is it better and necessary to go out for a walk in the fresh air?
Answer
The need for a walk in the fresh air exists in order to maintain health, so that will not be forbidden either; indeed, attending to it also deserves care. As for the superiority of dhikr, recitation of the Qur’an and the like, there are independent proofs regarding it.
