Original homeland (watan asli) in two places
Question
A man took his wife, children and belongings from his original homeland (watan asli) and, with a permanent intention, began living in another place. However, his belongings and property also remain in his first homeland. Will both places be his homeland?
Answer
Even if he himself benefits from these belongings and property and has not ended his ownership of them, the status of homeland of that place has still ended, since he has adopted permanent residence in the other place. If he now has no intention of moving away from there entirely, then that other place has become his original homeland (watan asli).
