The tahajjud congregation

Question

In some mosques of our area a tahajjud congregation is held, and in it too one [complete] Qur’an is [recited]. So should the tahajjud prayer be performed in congregation or not?

Answer

Some of the elders used to recite the Holy Qur’an [to others] and listen to it in tahajjud as well, without adhan and iqama; but no special arrangement (ihtimam) should be made for it: tahajjud is best [performed] by each person individually.
