The khutba began while one was praying the sunna of Jumu‘a

Question

Someone began the sunna before the Jumu‘a khutba started. What should he now do, given that the khutba has begun?

Answer

If the Jumu‘a khutba begins after he has started the sunna, he should complete the rak‘as lightly and give the salam; he should not simply break off the prayer.
