What is the ruling on the prayer if there is a mirror in front?
Question
In the mosque, doors faced with glossy decorative laminate (Decolam?) have been installed, and because of this the worshippers’ own reflections fall on them, as if there were a mirror in front. Does this cause any harm to the prayer, and is it appropriate or not?
Answer
This is a most improper state of affairs; some measure should be adopted to guard against it. There is no repeating (i‘ada) of the past prayers.
