Praying with the elbows uncovered

Question

Is the prayer makruh if performed wearing such clothing as a sleeveless vest, half-sleeves and a short-sleeved shirt, in which the elbows remain uncovered? If it is makruh, is it makruh tahrimi or makruh tanzihi?

Answer

In our parts this clothing is not the clothing of the righteous. Praying in merely a sleeveless vest or a half-sleeved shirt is contrary to showing respect to the prayer. In the first case the karaha (dislikedness) is strong; in the second it is slight.
