Reciting Surah al-Kafirun and Surah al-Lahab in the maghrib prayer

Question

In the maghrib prayer the imam recited “Qul ya ayyuha’l-kafirun…” (قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ), and in the second [rak‘a] “Tabbat yada…” (تَبَّتْ يَدَآ). Will there be any defect in the prayer or not, or will sajda al-sahw have to be performed? Kindly address both cases — deliberately and by forgetfulness.

Answer

In a fard prayer, doing this deliberately is makruh tanzihi; sajda al-sahw is not wajib.
